Makeup Remover

The worst thing you can do to your skin is sleeping with your makeup on. Your pores get clogged making your skin seem dull. There are so many options available when it comes to removing makeup. From face wipes to eye makeup removing oils. You can make your own inexpensive all natural makeup remover which removes makeup from deep down the pores.

Coconut oil is a great multi use product for hair and skin care. It is directly used as a makeup remover. Coconut oil removes waterproof makeup without leaving a residue. Take a small amount in your palm and apply it on your face. Gently massage to dissolve makeup. Wipe with a hot damp cloth and wash with a cleanser. You’ll notice that your skin is much softer.

Olive oil mixed in water is also a great substitute for makeup remover. Mix two parts extra virgin olive oil in one part water. If you’re using half a cup of olive oil then add 1/4th cup water. Shake the bottle before use. Soak a cotton pad and wipe your makeup.

Thick brow and eyelash hair is a genetic thing but not all of us are blessed with that gene. There are many eyelash and brow serum available with high price tags. You can make your all natural eyelash or eyebrow growth serum using castor oil. Castor oil is high in minerals, protein, Vitamin E, omega 6 and 9 beneficial fatty acids. Mix 1 teaspoon castor oil in 1/2 tsp coconut or almond oil in a small container with lid or an old clean mascara tube. You can also add two vitamin E oil capsules(optional). Use it everyday before bedtime.

Brow Gel

Aloe vera gel has the same staying power and hold as a brow gel. Wash an old mascara tube and fill it with aloe vera gel. You can keep the gel clear or add in an eyeshadow powder that matches your brows. Use it as part of your makeup routine or everyday as brow conditioner.

Bronzer

To make your own natural bronzer, mix 2 Tbsp cornstarch, 1 Tbsp cocoa powder, 1 tsp nutmeg and 1 tsp finely ground cinnamon powder. You can adjust the quantity of ingredients until you get a shade close to your skin tone. Store this bronzer in an old clean bronzer compact container or any small jar.

The basic concept of oil cleansing method is that you use oils to wash your face. You use a blend of oils that cleanse your pores deep down, gently eliminating dirt and bacteria. Dry Shampoo

Washing your hair just 2-3 times a week is actually healthier for your hair. Dry shampoo can help you keep your hair oil free without washing. It absorbs excess oil leaving your hair grease free.

You can make your own dry shampoo in either liquid spray or powder form. For spray, mix equal parts water, arrowroot powder and vodka or rubbing alcohol in a small spray bottle. Shake well before use.

To make powder dry shampoo, mix equal parts cornstarch, arrowroot powder, rice powder and a few drops of lavender/lemon essential oil(optional) in a small jar. Just sprinkle this mixture on your oily roots and brush to help absorb the oils.

Your hands tell how well you take care of yourself. Neat and well groomed hands show that you’re an organized and tidy person in general. Dry hands can make you appear older.
