I recently purchased a bottle of rosewater & glycerine for a VERY special reason . . . my soon to be 92 YO mom used to use it when I was a kid. It was our special “perfume”. Now that she has dementia, I love to watch her brighten up a bit when I massage some on her.

Scent draws powerful memories and this is an especially happy memory for me. My adult sons say they’ll remember me when they smell lavender which is my “signature” scent.

I’ve been using rosewater on my feet before I apply moisturizer. I saw a definite reduction in cracked heels and skin. I also sprayed it on my face and noticed that it is less shiny. Next, mix in glycerin and see how it works.

My mother used a glycerine and rose water concoction that came together in one bottle. More than forty years later, I still have a vague memory of the bottle and wonder if it is still available to purchase today? Mom used to smooth it over her face and then use an electric facial muscle stimulator machine which I now own. Ode like to try to find the tonic and take up her old beauty routine because she always had beautiful complexion!
