3 DIY Natural Makeup Removers

Makeup remover is a staple for anyone who wears makeup. If you’re looking for something natural and less harsh than store bought remover then why not make your own at home. With a few simple ingredients, you can make your own makeup remover. The best thing about a DIY makeup remover is that its non-toxic, natural and leaves your skin feeling soft.

Here we have gathered 3 DIY natural makeup removers for you:

1

Coconut oil

If there is just one ingredient that works to solve major hair and skin issues, it has to be Coconut oil. This great smelling oil is an amazing makeup remover. It dissolves waterproof mascara, eye makeup and leaves no residue. Simply, soak a cotton pad with water and scoop out some coconut oil from the jar with the same cotton pad. Use it on your face to remove makeup. This will leave your skin feeling soft and cleansed. Follow with your face wash.

2

Olive oil

Mix two parts extra virgin olive oil and one part water in a clean transparent bottle. For example two tbsp olive oil and one tbsp water. An easy way to measure is to fill half of the bottle with olive oil and then add enough water until the bottle is 3/4th filled. Since oil is not soluble in water, make sure to shake the bottle well before using. Soak your cotton pad and wipe away your makeup. This works for waterproof makeup as well.

3

Almond oil and no tear shampoo

Mix 1 cup water, 1 tablespoon almond oil or baby oil and 1/4th teaspoon no-tear baby shampoo (don’t use ordinary shampoo, you don’t want crazy stinking eyes). Combine everything in a small clean container and shake well. Use it with cotton pad or ball to remove makeup.

You can easily make these makeup removers and they last for a long time.

Good Luck!
