Wash your face twice a day with a soap free cleanser. It is important to remove oil and dirt from your skin to make it smooth and glow. Also, remove make up before going to bed. If you sleep with the make up on, your skin is more likely to breakout and become dull. Most of us are too lazy or sleepy to use a make up remover before bed and then wash the face. Face wipes is the easiest way to cleanse your skin. That means you don’t have to use a make up remover if you use wipes. If washing your face is over drying the skin, you may use gram flour mixed with water. It is also very important to regularly exfoliate your skin. It helps to remove dead cells accumulated on skin.
Steaming opens up skin pores and removes impurities deep down the pores, making your face soft and smooth. Blackheads are formed by clogging of pores, so steaming helps to soften pores, making it easier to pop them. It also boosts blood circulation which reproduce healthy skin cells. It could be easily done at home. Simply boil a pot of water, you may add herbs such as thyme or rosemary. You can also add mint leaves, rose petals or lemon for a delicious smell and soothing feel to skin. Remove the pot from heat. Keep a towel on your head and lower your face on the steam. The towel will avoid steam from escaping. Make sure your face is not close to the water, if its too hot it might cause broken veins. Steaming once a week is enough to keep your pores clean.
